Artist Kate Hunter is constantly exploring new ideas and new mediums to express herself artistically. Join Kate to be guided in the creation of your own up-cycled inspiration journal while tapping into your creative side to tell a visual story.
Curate your journal by theme or colour before choosing the papers you wish to work with from the selection of printed and coloured paper and card on offer before being tutored in folding, construction, trimming and stitching methods to create a stylish finished design. Options will be available to decorate pages with paint, pencil or stencilling to customise your journal. Or, keep it minimalist. A range of vintage wallpapers and fabric offcuts will be available to create a striking cover and participants are encouraged to bring along any special papers, notes or fabrics from home they would like to incorporate in their work. The day will begin with the creation of a mini journal/notebook to hone your construction skills and stitching methods before bringing it all together in the final design. The workshop is a great opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind keepsake and exercise your creative muscle in a small group setting.
