The Artist Showcase is a new online initiative of the Cairns Art Gallery for artists, curators, collectors, and the public. It extends the Gallery’s support of regional artists and its promotion of outstanding regional arts practice.

Artists represented in the Showcase have been selected based on their participation in the Gallery’s biennial ARTNOW FNQ and the FNQ Contemporaries exhibitions, as well as major group and solo exhibitions held at the Gallery over the years. New artists will be added to the Showcase each year.

Artists in the Showcase have a feature page on the Gallery’s website that provides information about their career and their arts practice based on works included in past and present Gallery exhibitions and representation in the Gallery’s Permanent Collection.

The Showcase also features regular online Collectors Exhibitions that present an exclusive selection of works from the artist’s studio. Works from these exhibitions and specially produced artist merchandise, are available for purchase online and offer collectors the opportunity to directly support our regional artists.
